The Wollombi Valley
Sculpture Fesitival 2019
26th October – 10th November
Exhibition Open Daily from 10am-5pm
Since the first exhibition in 2002, Sculpture in the Vineyard has attracted art lovers from all over Australia to our beautiful valley, and is a much-anticipated event within the local community.
This year we are spreading our wings and including a wider range of activities to the festival such as a photographic competition, children’s sculpture exhibition and guided talks. Along with an increase in excitement, this new format has aided us in acquiring a significant cash first prize.
Our curator this year is Wendy Black, the curator of the Biannual Tom Bass Prize for figurative sculpture. Wendy has taught at the Tom Bass Sculpture Studio for 15 years, completed commissions, been a finalist in the North Sydney Art Prize and won a number of People’s Choice awards with her wire creatures. We are very excited to be working with Wendy and look forward to seeing where her fresh approach takes us.
Entries are open 1st July- 14th August 2019
